Choir Alberta, formerly known as the Alberta Choral Federation, has been serving Albertans for more than 40 years. Always growing and evolving, Choir Alberta strives to meet the needs of today’s choral community with proven and innovative programs and services.
Choir Alberta is a non-profit association of choral directors, teachers, choristers, and others with an interest in choral music. It was founded in 1972 to encourage and promote the understanding and appreciation of choral music by providing positive educational and artistic experiences.
Choir Alberta endeavors to foster the organization and development of choral groups of all types, promote significant research and composition in choral music and advocate for support of the arts by all levels of government, business and community.
Choir Alberta is a valuable resource for advice and assistance: information on programming, administration, marketing; finding conductors, clinicians and adjudicators; singing and conducting opportunities for all levels of experience, plus educational and practical resources.
Choir Alberta actively collaborates with choirs, choral conductors, music educators and choristers to foster the development, understanding and appreciation of choral music.
