Harmony Happy Hour and Open House!

Are you a female or non-binary treble singer who is curious about exploring something new?
Alberta Northern Lights Chorus invites you to join us for Harmony Happy Hour and Open House on Tuesday, June 23 - a casual evening where you can experience the energy, artistry, and connection of barbershop a cappella singing.
If you have sung in choirs, with accompaniment, in mixed ensembles, or in other vocal settings, this is a wonderful opportunity to discover how your voice might fit into four-part a cappella harmony. Barbershop singing offers a unique challenge: close harmonies, expressive storytelling, and the exciting experience of creating a full, resonant sound with voices alone.
During the evening, you’ll have the chance to listen to the chorus, learn more about the barbershop style, and, if you wish, step onto the risers alongside our members to experience the sound from inside the ensemble. Music and lyrics will be provided. Curious where your voice fits? One of our experienced members can offer a friendly voice placement to help you explore whether lead, tenor, baritone, or bass may be the best match for you.
We’re also excited to share that Alberta Northern Lights Chorus has qualified to compete at the Harmony Classic Competition at SingUnited International in Seattle in October 2027, and we are looking for new members to join us on that journey! Whether you are seeking a new musical challenge, a vibrant community, or the chance to grow as part of an ambitious ensemble, we would love to meet you.
