Join us for the second annual Rocky Mountain Choral Leadership Gathering!

23-25 OCTOBER 2026
BANFF CENTRE FOR ARTS AND CREATIVITY
The Rocky Mountain Choral Leadership Gathering returns for its second year, building on an extraordinary inaugural experience of connection, growth, and renewed inspiration.

Designed for choral practitioners across three streams — conductors and teachers, composers, and offstage leaders (the administrators, organizers, and visionaries who support choirs from behind the scenes) — the Rocky Mountain Choral Leadership Gathering will once again create space for meaningful exchange across roles and perspectives.

This year’s faculty includes Dr. Elroy Friesen, Dr. Tracy Wong, and a dedicated offstage leadership team of facilitators presented in partnership with the Rozsa Foundation.

Intentionally designed as a small-scale experience, the event is limited to just 60 participants. This ensures time and space for genuine interaction, whether that’s connecting directly with faculty, engaging in dialogue with peers, or contributing your own ideas and experiences to the conversation. All participants are active contributors to the shared learning environment shaped by the team of faculty and presenters.

Together, faculty and participants will engage in a dynamic mix of session formats — including plenaries, breakouts, roundtables, and collaborative sharing spaces — all designed to spark conversation, strengthen networks, and offer practical, real-world ideas you can bring back to your choirs.

Once again, Rocky Mountain Choral Leadership Gathering takes place at one of the most breathtaking and inspiring settings imaginable — the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. Surrounded by the Rocky Mountains, this extraordinary environment provides the perfect backdrop for reflection, creativity, and connection.

Whether you joined us last year or will be experiencing it for the first time, this is your invitation to learn, connect, and be inspired.

We hope to see you in Banff for the 2026 Rocky Mountain Choral Leadership Gathering
