SONGS FOR CANADA

Date:

Saturday, May 27, 2017 - 19:00

Location:

River Park Church (3818 – 14A Street SW, Calgary)

Come and celebrate Canada's 150th birthday with the Calgary Multicultural Choir who’s been celebrating our multicultural mosaic for more than 40 years.

This special programme includes favourite songs from our provinces including "Four Strong Winds”, "Wood River", "Ah! si mon moine voulait danser!", and also "Vivre, Aimer, Partager" - a song that blends a traditional Arabic song with a French poem. This piece was first performed in December 2015 when the first Syrian refugees arrived in Canada. It has been embraced as a song of building bridges across the country.

The choir will also present a National Anthems Medley. This medley weaves more than ten National Anthems together in a wonderful tapestry of sound.

Tickets:

$10 (general/seniors) / $5 (students) / FREE (children 12 and under)
Tickets are available by calling (403) 249-2629 or at the door
