Microgrants

A limited number of $100 microgrants are available to individuals participating in the Composer or Offstage Leadership streams of the Rocky Mountain Choral Leadership Gathering.

Microgrants are intended to help make participation more accessible and will be awarded as eligible applications are received, while funds remain available. Early applications are encouraged.

​ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must meet the criteria for their stream:

Composer Stream
  • Be based in Alberta
  • Be actively engaged in composing music for choirs
  • Have had at least one original choral work performed within the past two years.

Offstage Leadership Stream
  • Currently serve as a staff member or contracted administrator of an Alberta-based choral organization; or
  • Currently serve on the Board of Directors of an Alberta-based choral organization.
For the purposes of this program, choral organizations may include community choirs, school-based choral programs, and music parent organizations supporting choral programs.

Additional Conditions
  • Applicants must either be registered for the Rocky Mountain Choral Leadership Gathering at the time of application or, if awarded a microgrant, register within 72 hours of receiving notification of the award. If registration is not completed within 72 hours, the microgrant will be released and made available to another applicant.
  • A maximum of one $100 microgrant may be awarded per participant.
  • Applications will be reviewed for eligibility as they are received; this is not a competitive adjudication process.
  • Microgrants are available only while allocated funds remain.
