Catalyst50: Fueling the future of choir and group singing

For 50 years, Choir Alberta has played an integral role in the provincial choral community. Through a proven roster of programs, resources, and performance opportunities, we have provided unique and enriching musical experiences to thousands of conductors, educators, and singing Albertans.
The future of choir and group singing in our province is bright! That future will take choral music in new directions while continuing to embrace the choral art that has sustained and inspired us for generations. We envision a community of choirs and singing groups that is more diverse, inclusive, accessible, and creative. The Catalyst50 Campaign is the first step in developing the next generation of Choir Alberta programs designed to be relevant to and accessible by all singers, choirs, conductors, and leaders. It will provide the funding necessary to redevelop current programs as well as to create new ones. The result will be a unique and dynamic array of programs designed to champion choir and group singing in all its forms. To ensure access to these programs by all Albertans, a portion of funds received through the Catalyst50 Campaign will be directed to the Choir Alberta Bursary Fund. The Fund provides support for singers, choirs, and conductors taking part in Choir Alberta programs.
