Light up your summer with singing!
REHEARSALS — August 15-18, 7-9 p.m. | Cloverdale Community Hall
WRAP UP CONCERT — August 19, 7:30 p.m. | venue TBA

SongBurst is a non-auditioned week-long summer choir for adults. Choir members learn a variety of music together in a casual and supportive setting. At the end of the week, the choir performs a wrap-up concert for family, friends, and fans.
POST REHEARSAL HANG-OUTS
Participants are invited to bring their lawn chairs and relax on the deck at Cloverdale Hall after rehearsal. Food and drinks will be available from local vendors!

REGISTRATION
Individual registration  $125 + service charges
Group registration  $100 + service charges
Register as part of a group of 5 singers from your choir and save $25!

Registration deadline — July 31
To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, all participants will be required to wear a mask while singing indoors. Masks will not be required while singing outdoors or socializing indoors or outdoors.

Melissa Morgan, guest conductor
Dr. Melissa Morgan is the Assistant Professor of Choral Music in the department of Media, Arts, and Performance at the University of Regina. An active conductor, she is frequently asked to serve as a guest clinician, adjudicator, and conductor with high school, children’s choirs, and church choirs throughout Canada. Her choirs have won numerous awards including, second prize in the chamber choir category of the Choral Canada National Competition for Amateur Choirs. Dr. Morgan holds a Doctorate of Music Performance in Choral Conducting from the University of Toronto, a Master of Music Performance in Choral Conducting from the University of Western Ontario, a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Regina. Kim Cousineau, pianist
Kim received a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Victoria and studied privately with Anna Cal, student of Russian pianist Pavel Egorov. He has been involved with numerous operatic and musical theater productions, He was a staff pianist and coach with Vancouver Island summer music programs “In The Key Of Glee” and “A Voce Sola” and with Singspiration in Edmonton. In high demand as a choral accompanist in the Edmonton area, he works with many groups including Concordia Concert Choir, Da Camera Singers, Vocal Alchemy, Joyful Noise, and Chronos Vocal Ensemble. In 2012, he was the recipient of the BC Choral Federation’s Joyce O. Maguire Award for outstanding long-term service as a choral accompanist.
