Membership categories & benefits

By becoming a member of Choir Alberta, you are joining a community of more than 500 leaders and supporters of choral music in Alberta. In addition to membership categories for choirs and conductors, we also have categories for businesses, choristers, and composers, each of which have valuable benefits (outlined below). All individuals, businesses, and organizations are invited to join!

Membership types & benefits

CHOIRS/SINGING GROUPS
ABBREVIATION – CSG
​​For choirs and singing groups of all types, either community or school based. Organizations/programs with multiple choirs/singing groups only require 1 membership. This category is divided into different fee categories depending on the size of your choir/singing group or organization/program (see below).
​CONDUCTOR/EDUCATOR
ABBREVIATION – CE
For conductors of choirs and singing groups and music educators. If your choir/singing group has a membership, you don't need to buy a conductor/educator membership in addition.
COMPOSER+ARRANGER
ABBREVIATION – CA
For composers and arrangers of music written for choirs and singing groups of all types.
​ASSOCIATE
ABBREVIATION – ASSOC
For retired conductors and music educators, administrators and Board members, and singers and choral enthusiasts wanting member benefits in addition to those offered in the CHORISTER category.
STUDENT
ABBREVIATION – STU
For fulltime students.
CHORISTER
ABBREVIATION – CHOR
For individuals who currently sing or have sung in a choir or singing group of any type. This is a non-voting membership.
CORPORATE

For businesses and corporate entities.
