CALEB NELSON
Caleb Nelson has been an active singer, teacher, and sound engineer in Edmonton’s musical community for more than 20 years. As one of Western Canada’s most sought-after tenors, Caleb commands expertise in classical, contemporary, and pop vocal technique, and has been a frequent collaborator with Alberta’s professional choirs, including 18 seasons with Pro Coro Canada and his tenure as a founding member of Luminous Voices. An in-demand teacher and pedagogue, Caleb is the owner and operator of Silver Studios, where he teaches voice, recording technique, and musicianship across a wide spectrum of instruments and styles. In addition to his work as an innovative sound engineer, Caleb has led the charge in developing technological solutions for musicians in the world of COVID-19, crafting bespoke technology suites for a plethora of music studios, choirs, and academic institutions across Canada. Caleb’s recent work includes the development of “Car Choir” and numerous virtual ensemble recordings. |
TALESA MANDIN
Talesa has been singing and playing piano for 28 years, since the young age of 4, starting her music journey in Music For Young Children's classes and then graduating into Royal Conservatory of Music. Talesa took a liking to making music at her church and singing in choirs at her schools, and those passions are what lead her to the majority of the work she seeks out in her professional career today. Being a graduate of Victoria School of Performing Arts, she was inspired to continue on to Grant MacEwan's Music Program majoring in Jazz and Contemporary Piano Performance. Today, you'll see Talesa singing and playing for many choirs and schools throughout the city of Edmonton and surrounding area (of note: EKO Singers, Accord Ensemble, Nuf Sed and FORM of the TIME Association, Kikimasu of the Korora [previously Kokopelli] Association, Memorial Composite High School choirs, Victoria School choirs, MD at Ross Sheppard for their spring Musical), Music Directing at Good Shepherd Anglican Church, accompanying for solo instruments and vocalists, performing in a band with her friends "Mallory and the Mystics", and freelancing in many various other capacities. |
ADAM ROBERTSON
A native of Burnaby, British Columbia, Adam is active throughout Alberta as a conductor, choral and vocal clinician, adjudicator, and teacher. Holding degrees in vocal performance from the University of Lethbridge (BMus) and choral conducting from the University of Alberta (MMus), he completed his DMus in choral conducting from the University of Alberta in 2018. During his time in Edmonton, Adam has conducted several ensembles including the Sherwood Park Festival Singers, Da Camera Singers, and Edmonton Children's Choir. He is currently the director of the Concert Choir at the University of Alberta as well as the longest serving assistant conductor of the University of Alberta Mixed Chorus. In 2019 Adam founded the All Points West Chamber Choir, a 32-voice ensemble whose goal is to advocate for musical inclusivity by creating programs that fuse traditional choral repertoire and popular music. Though primarily a conductor, Adam remains active as a vocalist and maintains an associate membership with Pro Coro Canada. As an Instructor at the University of Alberta Adam teaches courses in a number of areas including conducting, music history, and music theory. His current area of research deals with the advocative role of honour vocal ensembles for choral music in the community at large. |
JESSICA ROBERTSON
Jessica Robertson is a graduate of the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance. Since moving to Edmonton in 2006, she has been busy as an accompanist for singers and various choir organizations in the city and maintaining piano and voice studios from her home. She is currently the accompanist for the University of Alberta Mixed Chorus, as well as a studio accompanist and coach in the University of Alberta voice program. Jessica sings with Pro Coro Canada and All Points West. |
