Music Conference Alberta is premier professional development opportunity for music teachers, choral conductors, band directors, and studio instructors across Alberta
In 2021-2022, for the first time ever, will be offering Music conference Alberta in 2 parts! Part 1 will take place online on 27-28 Aug 2021, and will focus on getting your program/ensemble/studio up and running in the wake of COVID uncertainties and disruptions. Four interactive sessions will be offered on the topics of recruitment, retention, relaunching, and rebuilding. Each of the 75-minute sessions will be divided into two parts—the first will be a presentation for all delegates, and the second will be broken down by discipline (ex. recruiting for choirs). |
Part 2 will take place on 22-23 Apr 2022 at the beautiful Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. The in-person component will look more like a regular Music Conference Alberta, just a bit shorter. Conference offerings will include concerts, the MCA Marketplace, a series of interest sessions, and networking events designed to help delegates reconnect with one other.
Delegates will be able to register for the online, in-person, or both components. Music Conference Alberta is jointly presented by Choir Alberta, Alberta Band Association, Alberta Music Education Foundation, and Alberta Registered Music Teachers' Association |
