Brooks Choral Society
Why does BCS exist?
BCS offers a warm and inclusive home, where its members find healing, connection and musical growth. Our long term vision and values In offering a safe space for the mutual growth and healing of a connected collective, we will begin to see a positive change in the self-worth of singers/musicians. This will result in less creative wounds being passed on from generation to generation, and will empower all to step fully into themselves as musical artists. ALL ARE WELCOME, ALL BELONG! We rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm at the Brooks United Church. We are expanding this year to also include children and teens in our chapter of BCS JR. We are on IG and Facebook! |

University of Lethbridge - Sing for Joy (Ages 40+)
In this choir, everyone is welcome, and everyone is good enough. Most of our singers are 40+, although we prefer to call it “plenty-nine”. Our rehearsals are fun, dynamic “cup-filling” experiences for all. We sing a wide variety of music, from pop and the “oldies” to folk and traditional choir music in two, three three and four parts. Reading music is a plus, but not a must.

Vox Musica Choral Society
https://www.voxmusicalethbridge.org/
Our ensemble brings choral music to audiences in Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta, and gives the people of this area an opportunity to participate in the public performance of choral work. We have from 60 to 80 members each year, ranging from 19 to 91 years of age, and including beginners to seasoned veterans enjoying their fourth decade with the choir. The choir rehearses weekly on Tuesdays from 7:00-9:30 p.m, and we welcome new singers every September and January. Our repertoire includes everything from folk and theatre music to opera choruses and classic choral gems. We are frequent guests of the Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra and collaborate often with other local vocal and instrumental ensembles. In Vox, we experience a togetherness based on a core value: less of me, more of us. In a choir, the whole really is greater than the sum of its parts. |
