Choir Alberta, Alberta’s Provincial Arts Service Organization for choirs and singing groups, is currently seeking a part-time Program Manager. In collaboration with Choir Alberta staff and volunteers, you will play a key role in the planning and delivery of Choir Alberta programs, including the Alberta Youth Choir, Alberta Children’s Choirs, Music Conference Alberta, Big Sing YEG, and SongBurst. Your work will directly impact thousands of Alberta based singers, conductors, and offstage leaders who participate in our programs annually. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in the development new Choir Alberta programs, including the Rocky Mountain Choral Leadership Retreat and Spectrum Choral Festival.
This is a permanent position of 25 hours per week. The position is based out of Choir Alberta’s Edmonton office with the opportunity to do some work from home.

Program planning, both short and long-term
Program delivery and logistics management
Program assessment and evaluation
Coordinating volunteers
Managing guest artists
Contributing to marketing and publicity
Maintaining accurate records for all programs
Collaborating on program budgeting
Coordinating the Choir Alberta Program Advisory Committee

Collaborating with leaders, artists, and program participants
Working in a digital environment (experience with Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and Canva will be an asset)
Transforming the vision for Choir Alberta programs into reality
Event planning
Oral and written communications
Engaging volunteers
Identifying opportunities for funding and financial support
Making a detailed plan but being ready to adapt as needed
Multitasking and prioritizing tasks
Advocating for Choir Alberta and its programs
You will have an interest in choral music and the arts, and will be a strong team player with a positive attitude.
In addition to working at Choir Alberta’s Edmonton office, you be needed on site for the duration of Choir Alberta programs, some of which take place on weekday evenings and weekends. As several Choir Alberta programs take place outside of the City of Edmonton, we do require you to have a valid driver’s licence.
How you’re compensated Your starting salary will range from $18.93 to $20.82 per hour. In addition, your compensation package includes:
