Program Delivery Specialist, Alberta Children's Choir
Choir Alberta, Alberta’s Provincial Arts Service Organization for choirs and singing groups, is seeking a Program Delivery Specialist to support the delivery of the Alberta Children’s Choir (ACC). Working closely with the Executive Director, ACC artistic team, Working Group, volunteers, and Choir Alberta staff, you will play a key role in the late-stage planning and on-the-ground delivery of one of Alberta’s flagship provincial honour choir programs.
As a core member of the ACC leadership team, the Program Delivery Specialist ensures that rehearsals, performances, and related activities run smoothly, professionally, and in alignment with the ACC Program Charter and Choir Alberta policy. This role is well suited to someone who believes deeply in the value of outstanding musical experiences for children, works collaboratively as part of a strong team, and thrives in the fast-paced environment of delivering a large-scale program serving more than 100 young singers.
This is a short-term contract position, totaling approximately 80 hours over an 8-week period, with hours concentrated around rehearsals, performances, and program milestones.
What you’ll be doing
Serving as the primary point of contact for ACC participants in the period leading up to program delivery
Serving as the primary on-site point of contact for ACC guest artists, volunteers, and singers
Coordinating rehearsals and performances, ensuring a positive, well-organized, and supportive environment
Supporting ACC Working Group members in their roles
Ensuring volunteers are well oriented through clear communication and training
Coordinating volunteer scheduling, reporting, and appreciation
Collecting program data and contributing to program reporting
Facilitating the evaluative process
What you bring
Highly developed organizational skills and strong attention to detail
Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
Experience working with children and youth in an artistic and educational setting
The ability to take initiative and respond calmly in a live program environment
Comfort with technology and digital systems
Flexibility and adaptability as program circumstances and priorities shift
A foundational understanding of music and familiarity with Edmonton’s music and arts community
This role requires on-site presence for the duration of the ACC residency (Feb 19-21) and the ACC Showcase Concert (Feb 22). A valid driver’s licence is required.
How you’re compensated Compensation is provided on a contract basis for approximately 80 hours over the contract term. The contract fee is $2,000.
